Non-Aloholic Sangria

One of my favourite and distinct flavours – Sangria is a great way to kick things off during the day or for mid-week drinking. It’s hard to avoid summer these days without a sangria. I love it because it’s so versatile that you can mix wine with whatever is on hand in your home.

For some adding alcohol makes it drinkable, and for others adding the sangria spices & fruits makes cheap wine drinkable. Either way a good-quality (but not overly expensive) red wine is crucial to good sangria, as the wine is the dominant ingredient, such as a good cabernet sauvignon, merlot, or Spanish red, or if going alcohol free our Norfolk Punch Benedictine Monk Elixir is perfect.

Ingredients (for 1 Jug)

· 4 oranges, 1 lemon, 1 green apple

· 1 bottle Norfolk Punch

· 150mls Rochester Lemon Lime & Ginger/Rochester Ginger

Method

Thinly slice 1 orange and 1 lemon into small wedges & cube 1 apple.

Mix half bottle Norfolk Punch with half bottle of red wine (if drinking, if non-alcoholic then a full bottle of Norfolk Punch), a splash of brandy (optional), garnish with slices of orange and lemon, cubed pieces of granny smith apples with ample ice and a touch of sparkling water, lemonade and Rochester Ginger on-top.
